Welcome to my latest project my blog series called: i-Capture Phenomenal Women. I am so excited about this project, which features the personal stories and journeys of women whose photographic images I've captured over the past 4 to 5 years. On faith, almost three years ago, I left my 18-year career as a university professor and college administrator to follow my passion for personal brand photography capturing images of 'everyday' women doing extraordinary things. During this time, I have captured not only their images but in particular, during the process, I built real relationships with these women which opened up the essence of who they are, and who they want to be. Establishing a bond with them, put these phenomenal women at ease and more confident during their photo shoots. In this process, I learned so much about their stories, their personalities and who they are as everyday and professional women.
Our first phenomenal woman is Rosalind Smith Sistrunk of Rosalind Smith Counseling. Rosalind is a divorced single mother who is a Christian couples therapist based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her story is an interesting twist on how this divorced single mother became a couples therapist years prior to the demise of her own marriage.
